I am very happy to report that she's recently started blogging herself and her daily musings on life, love and the pursuit of happiness can be found at the lovely Life Of Steph. I asked this talented lady if she might be interested in putting together a guest post for all the kids out there who had no music to listen to for the entire month of January. She obliged with a most pleasant musical tapestry woven with some fine pearls of rhythm, melody and at least one man singing Be My Baby in a very high pitched voice that I have come to deem my favorite song on this playlist. There were songs with cat, lion and tiger in them. There were pop songs, blues songs and folk songs. There were songs with cat in the title and there were songs performed by artists with cat in their name. There even was a song by an artist (Juana Molina) who used the cats from around her house in the recordings. It was straight cat crazy! And that is when we knew it was time to take our leave and float back down to the ground: happy to have made it to the secret lair, but oh so grateful to be back home.
Here we have a music/photo composition that features a gem of a find on an empty city street. This photo just begs for a backstory; whats on the cd? Who left it there? What does the title mean? We’ll just never know. Or perhaps the answers are in this song? Fantastic. Cheers, L.B!
