I just found an amazing source of inspiration and her name is Irene Williams. Watch this trailer for a little taste. You can watch the whole film, Irene Williams: Queen of Lincoln Road here. Be patient, the streaming is a little slow but trust me: its oh so totally worth it. The production is totally low key but it doesn’t matter cuz Irene completely steals the show. Amazing attitude, philosophies and outlook on life PLUS a pretty kick-ass wardrobe and apartment if you ask me. Damn, I really wanna be like her when I grow up (which I guess is right about now…).

Hanging out with my niece today, I discovered two wonderful things. 1) The Spongebob Movie (um, LOVE IT) and 2) This claymation series called Purple and Brown (and whaddya know? Its from Aardman studios, the geniuses behind Wallace and Grommit!)  By the way, Since discovering Purple and Brown, I simply cannot stop laughing. Oh.. ouch, it hurts so good…

I’d just like to throw this question out there: Have you ever wondered what happens when you put James Brown, Michael Jackson and Prince together on the same stage? Well, wonder no more.  Its 1987 and James Brown is having a coked out telethon where  nothing makes sense and the props aren’t properly secured onto the stage. MJ? Very cool indeed, makes you instantly wonder, "damn, wtf happened to this guy..?" Then comes Prince. Makes you instantly wonder, "daaaamn, wtf is this guy ON?" I can safely say that this is one of the best things I’ve seen in a while. If its too much for you to take then at least watch the last few seconds. It… really couldn’t end any better… (extra points if you can spot the Santa that Prince rides in on.)

As tax day approaches and most everyone I know (including me) is found wasting this beautiful day holed up inside looking for receipts, reviewing W-2’s, 1098-T’s, 1040EZ’s and other sad pieces of junk-paper, I am posting a most wonderful example of people getting together to accomplish great things. Behold the Complaints Choirs of the World. This particular vid features the Helsinki choir whose lyrics are totally awesome. Cuz seriously; I’m sick and tired of people in saunas not asking if its okay to throw water on the stove. WTF, people?  Big ups to Madame Nef who turned me on to this awesome phenomenon.
