POPCAST #557 TREATS THE FOLLOWING:
Self-doubt, neuroses and mega-headaches.

NOTE: When I first listened to Popcast #557 I suddenly wanted a tattoo, the bouncy defiance of Yeasayer egging me on. Then I wanted to ride a motorcycle really fast to Pounding: "…seize the time, cuz its now or never baby." Suddenly I got to where I was going and needed to dance-express how I really felt to someone and found Cut Copy to do the trick. Star Guitar got me to my next destination and when it started to rain, Gen Orange provided the perfect soggy soundtrack. I furiously giggled when UB40 came on only to get a nostalgic tug on my heartstrings as I hummed along. Not too long after, A.C Newman brought me to my knees by shooting me straight in the heart with his impassioned rendition of Take On Me. As I lay paralyzed in the sand, the hypnotic sounds of a nearby gypsy camp sailed in and out of my conciousness… Thats kinda how it all went down, when I listened to Popcast #557.

1. Excerpt from The Gypsy Camp by the San Sebastian Strings   |  2. Yeasayer: O.N.E. |  3. British Sea Power: Who's In Control  |  4. Doves: Pounding   |  5. Cut Copy: Need You Now  |  6. Chemical Brothers: Star Guitar  |  7. Lemon Jelly: Spacewalk  |  8. Purity Ring: Ungirthed  |  9. R.E.M.: Ages of You  |  10. Gen Orange: Thunderstorm  |  11. UB40: Kingston Town  | 12. A.C. Newman: Take On Me  | 13. Excerpt from The Gypsy Camp by the San Sebastian Strings

POPCAST #555 TREATS THE FOLLOWING: Slate-grey, cold winter days and major resume/portfolio procrastination. Also helps treat frizzy fog-hair.

WARNING: Song #1 contains words unsuitable for most children's ears. But then again, any child listening to my popcasts is probably more sophisticated than most adults and is laughing at my warning which means my street cred among hip kids just totally tanked.

3. Look …No Fingerprints!: Solex
4. Rasputin: Boney M
5. St. Petersburg: Brazilian Girls

POPCAST #554 TREATS THE FOLLOWING: Going to stupid work after a fun weekend, frosted car windows in the early morning and whooping cough.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Consider the fact that you can dance to every one of these songs. Even the slower ones (my swedish assistants have run the proper experiments so I could make such declarations). If you don't dance to at least 3 songs in this popcast (bobbing your head at your desk is fully acceptable), then the prescription simply will not work. Take at your own risk.

1. Boy (demo version): Book of Love
2. Sleepwalking: Cosmetics
3. Acà Entera: Javiera Mena
4. Round The Moon: Summer Camp
5. Laughing: Hooded Fang

RECOMMENDED USE: This week's popcast works best under cloudy skies, while wearing a very fuzzy sweater and sunglasses (go total black and white Godard here). Sip that espresso with a heavy heart and a half-smile on your face. Now write some existential poetry and you should be good to go.
